FAQ

  • These groundbreaking aesthetic innovations introduce highly refined polynucleotides (PN-HPT) extracted from salmon sperm, meticulously distilled into varying concentrations and suspended within a water-based solution. These PN compounds, comprising fragmented DNA, when administered into the skin, attract moisture to the molecules, prompting the body to enhance blood vessel perfusion. Consequently, fibroblasts are activated, triggering the production of natural collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. Additionally, this process reduces skin inflammation, optimising the extracellular environment, and fostering tissue reconstruction and rejuvenation. The outcome is visibly fresher, revitalised, and firmer skin.

  • In my opinion one of the most exciting applications for Polynucleotides lies in treating the area beneath the eyes. They significantly enhance the tear trough, alleviate dark circles, and address sagging skin concerns, improving lumpy or sunken scars, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, melasma, rosacea, skin inflammation, and the overall indications of facial aging. They prove to be beneficial for eyebrow and scalp hair loss also.

Nucelofill also excels in addressing wrinkling on the neck, décolleté, inner arms, thighs, and knees. Over time, noticeable improvements include reduced pigmentation, enhanced skin quality, increased thickness, and better hydration. However, the full manifestation of these effects usually requires a few months.

  • Nucelofill is highly purified particles of DNA meaning that allergic reactions are very unlikely and can be safely injected into those who may have allergies, even those with seafood allergies.

  • Around 30-45 minutes

  • The procedure is typically painless due to the utilisation of extremely thin needles, yet if necessary, we can apply a numbing cream. Often, a cannula - a needle with a blunt tip - is employed, allowing the administration of products beneath the skin through a single needle puncture, which is generally well received by patients.

  • I recommend that you have at least 2 sessions which are 20 days apart. Some people may need up to 4 sessions to achieve the desired results depending on age and how well your skin creates quality tissue when stimulated.

  • The quality of your skin will improve gradually as the tissue regenerates. You will likely notice a difference after 2-4 weeks. That being said, the results get better over time as your tissue regenerates. Full results can be expected to be seen after 3 months.

  • 6-9 months, sometimes up to a year. At this point I recommend rebooking another treatment.

  • Dermal fillers work by increasing skin volume, serving as inert volumisers in tissues, producing immediate results that can last from six months to several years. Even after many years, traces of fillers may still be present. However, individuals with loose skin might not be suitable for tear trough filler as hyaluronic acid (HA) can draw in water, potentially causing puffiness over time. Additionally, HA fillers can move and cause swelling years later, even in suitable candidates.

On the other hand, polynucleotides function differently by stimulating cellular regeneration, leading to gradual visual changes. Studies indicate that the volume effects of polynucleotides can be comparable to HA fillers. Polynucleotides enhance the skin's texture and appearance by promoting improved skin quality, minimising pores, and reducing roughness. Combining polynucleotides with dermal fillers might be recommended for an overall comprehensive rejuvenation approach. We can discuss this in your consultation.

  • Plenhyage, being an injectable treatment, might result in bruising and potential stinging sensations at the injection sites. In some cases temporary bumps could appear for up to 48 hours post-treatment.

The pure DNA particles dissolved in a water solution pose minimal risk of triggering allergic reactions or delayed responses like nodules or biofilms. Such issues are known to occur with various dermal fillers, including HA fillers, biostimulators, and Profhilo. Another notable advantage is the absence of any risk of vascular occlusion (artery blockage) as these minute DNA fragments in water closely resemble what already exists in your bloodstream. With no gel involved, the likelihood of blockages is extremely low.
